Believe it or not, the type of shoes you are wearing may be contributing to your foot cramps. Shoes that do not properly support your feet may be the reason your feet are cramping because they cause muscles to be in unnatural positions for too long. Getting the right shoes will not only likely help your foot cramps, but will improve your overall day-to-day comfort, posture, and mood.
How Do I Prevent Foot Cramps?
Prevent foot and lower leg cramping first and foremost by staying well-hydrated and eating a well-balanced diet. Also make sure to stretch frequently—especially before and after exercise. Stay active and increase your activity level as time goes on. Buy shoes that fit and have proper support. If you experience frequent cramping, the issue may be medically serious, and you should see a medical doctor.
